INFORMATION / LEGAL

Privacy Policy.

A plain-language account of how this educational publication currently handles visitor information.

Last updated September 28, 2026

THE SHORT VERSION

A small site with a limited data footprint.

The current publication does not provide visitor accounts, comments, a newsletter signup, advertising, affiliate tracking, or analytics through its theme. Its contact form sends messages by email without saving submissions in the WordPress database.

Ordinary web requests still involve technical information, and the site loads Manrope from Google Fonts. WordPress, the web host, and active plugins may also process information outside what this theme can determine.

01

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Elements of Art & Design, an educational publication associated editorially with Neura Collective and published under the copyright and legal identity of Brandion LLC.

It does not govern another website merely because this site links to it.

02

Information involved in ordinary visits

When a browser requests a page, the web server and hosting infrastructure necessarily receive technical request information. That may include an IP address, browser and device information, the requested page, date and time, referring page, and information needed to deliver or secure the site.

The theme does not determine the host’s precise logging, security, or retention practices. Those settings require separate review in the hosting and WordPress administration environments.

03

Information you provide

The Contact form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message so the publication can receive and respond to your inquiry. The form sends those details by email through WordPress and the site's separately configured mail transport. The theme does not save the submitted message in the WordPress database or send you an automatic confirmation email.

Messages may remain in the receiving mailbox and may be processed by the configured mail provider under its own settings. The theme does not determine those services' precise retention periods.

04

Cookies and local storage

The theme does not set its own cookies or use browser local storage. WordPress core, the site host, or active plugins may use cookies for administration, security, maintenance, or other configured functions. Logged-in administrators may receive WordPress authentication cookies.

Because plugin and server configuration can change independently of the theme, their complete behavior must be verified separately. The policy will be updated if visitor-facing cookie use materially changes.

05

Google Fonts and external requests

The site currently requests the Manrope typeface from Google Fonts. To return that file, Google receives a browser request that can include an IP address, browser information, and related technical data. The site also includes a locally hosted DejaVu Serif font, which does not require a third-party font request.

Artwork images used in curriculum pages are stored with the site rather than embedded from museum pages. Links to museums, archives, accessibility resources, and related projects do not transmit information to those destinations until a visitor follows the link.

06

Analytics, advertising, and affiliate links

The audited theme does not currently install analytics, Google AdSense, advertising pixels, Amazon affiliate code, or affiliate widgets.

The publication may later use advertising or affiliate links in clearly identified contexts. Planned services are not active services. If they are introduced, this policy and any required disclosures or consent mechanisms will be reviewed before or when they become active.

07

External sites

This publication links to museums, cultural institutions, educational resources, Neura Collective, Get Digital Products, Super Gregory, and other external destinations. Those sites may collect technical or voluntarily submitted information under their own policies and settings.

Review the destination’s terms and privacy information before providing personal information.

08

Retention, control, and security

This theme does not establish a database of contact submissions. It temporarily caches a keyed hash of the submitted email address for basic rate limiting, without storing the message or an IP address for this purpose. It cannot state universal retention periods or deletion procedures for the receiving mailbox, mail transport, hosting logs, WordPress administration data, plugins, or external services.

Reasonable care is taken in publishing and maintaining the site, but no website or transmission method can be promised to be completely secure.

09

Changes and questions

This policy may be revised when the site’s actual practices, services, or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the latest published revision.

For privacy questions, use the Contact form and identify Elements of Art & Design in your message.
